The print was purchased for the castle collection by the Castle Reconstruction Board before 1854; in 1854 it was exhibited in a decorative frame on the south wall in the Corner Hall on the main floor of the Palace of the Grand Masters; ibid. in 1894; lost in the period 1945–1960; further fate unknown.
In the vertical frame, there is a bust of an elderly man displayed in an en face view, with his body slightly tilted to the right. He is wearing dark frock coat and shirt with a white cravat under the neck. The showcased face is oblong with furrows and visible wrinkles on the forehead, deep-set eyes. A wig on the head with a parting in the middle, with single curls covering the ears. An order in the form of a cross is pinned to the left side of the coat.
